Artificial Intelligence means the simulation by machines of human intelligence processes, especially computer systems. AI-specific applications include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine vision.

ANALYSIS THE USE OF AI AMONG STUDENTS IN IPG KAMPUS BAHASA MELAYU

AI stands for artificial intelligence, which is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The term is often used to refer to projects that aim to develop systems with human-specific intellectual processes, such as: B. the ability to reason, discover meaning, generalize or learn from past experiences. Since the development of the digital computer in the 1940s, it has been shown that computers can be programmed to perform highly complex tasks - such as finding proofs of mathematical theorems or playing chess - with great skill. However, despite continued advances in computer processing speed and storage capacity, there is still no program that achieves full human flexibility in larger areas or for tasks that require extensive everyday knowledge. On the other hand, some programs have reached the level of performance of human experts and professionals in the execution of specific tasks, so artificial intelligence in this limited sense can be found in applications as diverse as medical diagnosis, computerized search engines, speech or writing recognition and chatbots.

      With the analysis that I made, majority of IPG Kampus Bahasa Melayu students have used AI in their assignments. I found that most of them use the Chat GPT application. The evident is when I ask my friends and seniors about the AI applications they use and they respond that they are using Chat GPT. This is because the Chat GPT application is well-known among university students.

     Meaning Chat GPT, short for Generative Pre-trained Transformer, is an artificial intelligence algorithm that combines natural language processing techniques with machine learning models. Its function is to enable interaction between humans and machines in the form of natural human conversations. With its exceptional ability to understand and respond to text, GPT Chat enables deeper communication.

   Why does using Chat GPT provide significant benefits for IPGKBM students using Chat GPT? First and foremost, Chat GPT can serve as a competent assistant that answers questions, gives instructions, or completes specific tasks. Chat GPT can therefore act as a professional help, always available and providing continuous support. Second, this algorithm can stimulate creativity by helping you write and generate new ideas. If you are lacking ideas, GPT chat can be an inspiring companion. Third, Chat GPT can increase the efficiency of business communication and customer service. By processing queries and requests in real time, Chat GPT reduces response times and improves customer satisfaction.

   The main role of AI in education is the automation of both academic and administrative tasks, personalized learning, smart content, and all-time accessibility. Over the course of time, AI has resolved the issue of accessibility in several fields like health, environment, etc. India’s potential for AI growth has made it unavoidable for the country to integrate technology into education in order to take advantage of it and better educate India’s young people for the future.

MY EXPERIENCE IN USING AI FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES

As a student that has a lot of assignments, AI applications helps me a lot to complete the assignments. I’ve been having experience using AI applications. AI applications that I used is Genie AI. This AI application has a lot of benefits for academic purposes.

     Genie AI is the world's largest open sources legal library, utilising data-driven insights to give everyone the confidence to draft agreements. It provided free and open-source access to 2000+ templates on their platform, clause library and e-sign tools. Using standard contracts and clauses reduces contract negotiations and billable hours by up to 80%. They are backed by Lord Neuberger, the former President of the Supreme Court of the UK and Connect Ventures (Citymapper).

     One of the biggest benefits of artificial intelligence is that it can significantly reduce errors and increase accuracy and precision. The decisions made by AI at each stage are determined by previously collected information and a specific set of algorithms. With proper programming, these errors can be reduced to zero. Another advantage of artificial intelligence is faster decision-making. By automating certain tasks and providing real-time insights, AI can help companies make faster, more informed decisions. This can be particularly useful in high-risk environments where decisions must be made quickly and accurately to avoid costly mistakes or save lives. Many studies show that people are only productive for 3-4 hours a day. People also need breaks and days off to balance work and home life. But AI can work seamlessly and without interruption. They think much faster than humans and do multiple things at the same time with precise results. Thanks to AI algorithms, they can easily handle even boring and repetitive tasks.

    The big disadvantage of artificial intelligence is that it cannot learn to think outside the box. AI can learn over time based on previously provided data and past experiences, but it cannot be creative in its approach. A classic example is the robot Quill, which can write income reports for Forbes. These reports only contain data and facts that have already been provided to the bot. Although the fact that the robot can write an article on its own is impressive, it lacks the human touch found in other Forbes articles.AI applications automate the most tedious and repetitive tasks. Since we don't have to remember things or solve puzzles to work, we use our brains less and less. This reliance on artificial intelligence could pose problems for future generations. Humans cannot develop artificial intelligence because it is a technology based on pre-installed facts and experiences. The AI ​​is capable of performing the same task repeatedly, but if we want adjustments or improvements we have to change the codes manually. Artificial intelligence is not accessible and usable in the same way as human intelligence, but it can store infinite amounts of data.

    In conclusion, in using AI applications in our lives there are advantages and disadvantages. It depends on how we apply it in life. So, we need to make sure we use the AI application properly.
